Steel air separation equipment is a large-scale industrial gas production system based on cryogenic air separation technology. It is specially designed for the steel smelting industry and is used to efficiently produce key process gases such as high-purity oxygen (O₂), nitrogen (N₂), argon (Ar). The equipment adopts a low-temperature distillation process, and through compression, purification, liquefaction and distillation, it realizes efficient separation of air, meeting the strict requirements for gas purity, flow rate and stability in the steel production process.

  • Cryogeni distillation technology: ultra-low-low temperature liquefaction separation from -170°C to -190°C ensures oxygen purity ≥99.6% and nitrogen purity ≥99.999%, meeting the key process needs such as blast furnace oxygen-rich spraying and converter steelmaking.

Steel air separation equipment key uses

  • Oxygen (O₂): used in blast furnace oxygen-rich injection (improving combustion efficiency), converter steelmaking (BOF) (accelerating decarbonization reaction), and arc furnace (EAF) (melting and molten steel refining).
  • Nitrogen (N₂): used for continuous casting protection gas, pipeline purge, safety inertification, etc.
  • Argon (Ar): used in stainless steel smelting (AOD/VOD furnace), effectively controls carbon and oxygen reactions, and improves the quality of steel.
