VPSA Oxygen Generator

VPSA stands for Vacuum Pressure Swing Adsorption, which is a technology used in oxygen generators to produce high purity oxygen from air. VPSA oxygen generators use a combination of vacuum and pressure swing adsorption to separate oxygen from air.

The process involves the use of two adsorption vessels filled with a specialized adsorbent material that has a high affinity for nitrogen. When air is passed through one of the adsorption vessels, the nitrogen in the air is adsorbed by the material, leaving behind a stream of oxygen-enriched air that is then collected and stored.
